Sightwitch: The Witchlands by Susan Dennard

Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is SO bloody good. Ryber Fortiza is such a fascinating character, and I’m so glad we get to know her story.

Sightwitch is about learning about yourself. Ryber has to decide what’s important, not only to everyone else, but to her. It’s such a great reminder to follow your heart.

I also loved the little theme of not dismissing someone because of their age. In this case, the person being dismissed was younger, and it reminds me a lot about the youth going on climate strikes all around the world right now. Don’t dismiss their voices just because they are younger than you!

Possibly my favourite thing about Sightwitch though, is the focus on sibling relationships, both biological and found. I have a biological brother - and I love him to death - but I also have women in my life who I consider sisters even though we’re not related. Found relationships are SO important and valid!

You absolutely must read the Witchlands series, so you can enjoy this fantastic little book.
