I loved both Norman‘s part of the story and Jesse‘s.
Though it really threw me off that Norman‘s part was so short and I couldn’t link it to Jesse‘s story until the very end when their connection was revealed. I can see the reason for Norman’s part being short and ending quite unfinished, for his life also ended abruptly, as we find out in the end.
Still, i think the two stories could have been connected a bit better, otherwise it was an interesting and absorbing book about growing up in England as a young black gay man.
