D is for Darcy Not Dyslexia by Abigail Griebelbauer

5.0

I received both of these books together and was very grateful for that. My ten year old daughter has both ADHD and dyslexia. So, both of us loved how relatable these books were to her life.
I want to begin with strong praise of how the author beautifully highlighted each child's strengths. Darcy's strength was art and Anthony strength was theatre. We get to follow both of them as they find a remarkable balance with what they love and managing their disability.

I read this book with both my children, ages six and ten. They were both fully engrossed in the stories. As mentioned, my daughter found so many relatable things between her and Darcy and Anthony.
I also want to acknowledge the beautiful, colorful illustrations and the crayon written theme in Darcy's book. We love love that.
