I'm amazed I didn't like this as much as I loved the Spear Cuts Through Water. It felt like the book just got away from me several times. The writing felt less punchy as Spear, and... I think the major issue is that I went back and read this after reading Spear, so I was just constantly comparing it or that masterpiece.
