I’m so glad I picked this up, especially during October!!!
I adored Fiorina’s lyrical and poetic writing. Her ability to create a stunning and alluring gothic atmosphere immediately pulled me into the story.
The love and bond between Julian and Fallon was dark, twisted, and beautiful. I loved watching him learn to trust and grow as a person. I really enjoyed him as a character and I’m looking forward to seeing him in future books too.
Fallon was so sweet and I loved seeing Julian, Kioni, Jonah and the others help her come out of her shell. She was always just trying to do right by everyone and I think she’s just the sweetest.
I have very complicated feelings about Monday. I hope to see more growth from her in the future. I love Kioni and am excited to see her and her family more. As for the other Heathens, I can’t wait for their books!
Overall I really enjoyed this book! I just think it fell victim to being the first book in a series of interconnected stand-alone’s. Also I hope Kane is dead in a ditch!
