The Plot Against America by Philip Roth

5.0

Had to do a mad dash through this book to be ready for a book club meeting. Vivid portrait of America, Lindbergh as an agent of Nazi Germany, a Jewish family in the crossroads, a young boy growing up in a confusing time, politics all gone wrong, a cautionary tale, Lindbergh's drop-in flights to American towns reminds me of Trump's tweets to control the conversation and the nation. Lots more. I read Portnoy's Complaint in college and this is the first read of Philip Roth since then.
