Snowed In by Catherine Walsh
4.0
Well these were a good time for the holiday season! I read Snowed In for our #LITeralhotties bookclub pick. Then realized after the fact it was second in the series. So I went back and read Holiday Romance (which I was hyped to find in a @freelitrtlki in my hood) and it was equally as great as the first! Both are about cozy Christmases in Ireland that will make you want to take a trip asap!
Holiday Romance: Andrew and Molly are both from Ireland, but live in Chicago. They end up on the same flight home for Christmas every year for ten years. The book goes back and forth from the present (their 10th trip home) to their first trip. We get to see their friendship evolve over the years and it’s super sweet. Their 10th year is a doozy with a canceled flight, a lost bag and of course some mistletoe.
Snowed in: Megan was a runaway bride and Christian, a boy she grew up with, helped her escape. Five years later they run into each other at a pub in Dublin. After discussing how much they are dreading going home for Christmas, they come up with a plan to fake date. Christian won’t have to have everyone nag him for being single and Megan will have someone by her side to face her un-welcome home. When they are forced into proximity though, will they want to keep pretending?!?
If these don’t get you into the holiday spirit, nothing will!
