This book is really just a repeat of book 1. There's a bit more involvement in the plot but really, not too much happens. The two mc’s are still fighting over the fmc, but not in a cute way. There’s no wooing or romancing involved. They literally just argue with each other constantly about why they're the better choice than the other.

I found Quinn to be very woe is me, that she complained a lot, and she couldn't make a decision to save her life (literally). Considering she’s coming into her power in this installment of the series, I really was banking on seeing some huge character growth and maybe some real relationship development. But, alas, it really all just felt the same as the first book did.
