When I read the first novel, I expressed a few concerns I had regarding what felt like half the novel being completely un-necessary, and I have to admit this book provided a lot more promise than the last one did. I actually found myself even enjoying the main protagonist a bit more since she had more of a personality and bite to her. Overall, I think this is the beginning of a promising future, and I look forward to seeing where the rest of the series heads.
