Want You Still by CE Ricci, Marley Valentine

5.0

This is a story that shows how powerful love is. It will crash you like a wave against the rocks, not caring who is in its path; crushing anything that stands in the way.  This is a love that burns so hot it is impossible to put out. Will and Pierce met in a bar and they didn't surface for air until a week later when their everyday lives came calling. The letters were a really clever way to take the story further, them getting to know each other, despite being on different continents. Asking their twenty questions back and forth. You can see exactly when the glass is going to shatter but nobody is prepared for how much it is going to hurt. Pierce is suddenly married and Will needs to get away so he can heal from the pain and torture. This book contains infidelity, if this is a trigger, stay away. For me it just highlighted the intensity of their love. They were so deep that despite knowing what devastation would arise, neither were strong enough to fight it. The pain is agony at times. Despite it feeling wrong, they both felt so right. You are held in suspension right to the end to see how this is going to work out. The ending was perfect and soothed the soul. So nice to catch up with Easton with a cameo role. I knew this book was going to be devastatingly beautiful with these two authors, who are notorious for angst and deep emotion.
