Knot That Serious by Lana Kole
3.75
In all honesty, I was a bit nervous that I'd be ending this series on a rough note because my relationship with this author's past contributions is rocky. I can gladly say that I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book and actually wanted more! I feel like this story worked a bit better because it was a more lighthearted story that didn't require a serious complex weaving of characters that can be difficult to properly portray in so many pages. This felt like a great palate cleanser and I finished it in 2 days!
I usually abhor miscommunication in my books with a passion, but it being paired with dating as well as each of their respective partners actively trying to get them together just worked for me. Don't get me wrong, it still irritated me sometimes, but it was bearable and even enjoyable sometimes which is something I can say does not happen for me often. Honestly, the only thing I can say bothered me was the fact that after Jack and Eli finally admitted their feelings for one another the progression of some of the relationships started feeling a little off. It wasn't bad and there wasn't anything I truly felt like I was missing but just... off somehow. That's the only way I know to explain it right now. I think I just would have liked to see them all be TOGETHER. The fact that both Beckett and Jack (especially Beckett 😏) found Raj attractive was something that was set up but nothing ever came from it. I want to know what a heat with all of them would look like. Would they all be together like that or would Raj just focus on Eli like through the duration of the book? I guess I was just expecting him to develop deeper relationships with the guys than buddy packmates.
I loved the Sweetverse series and I hope that we get to see more of it in the future!
