Willow the Wildcat by Lynne Rickards
5.0
First, I would like to thank Edelweiss+ and Kelpies for providing me with a free digital edition of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The illustrations in this book are beautiful. I was immediately drawn to the cover, and I would definitely purchase this book for my stepdaughter and future children.
The wildcat kittens and their mother lose their home and must find a new one. Along the way, they encounter obstacles from both animals and humans alike, including a pine marten protecting a shelter they had discovered and a man-made barbed-wire fence.
I appreciate immensely that the author has written a children's book to bring awareness to endangered species as well as the causes of their endangerment. It is very important to foster a love of animals in young children and educate them about endangered animals so that they are encouraged to protect endangered species in the future.
