The Year of Living Danishly: Uncovering the Secrets of the World's Happiest Country by Helen Russell
5.0
I found myself quoting statistics from this book to friends and coworkers frequently. Half Danish myself, and having visited Copenhagen twice, I found large parts of this book resonated loudly with my personal experiences of Danish love of tradition. I've started examining more closely which features of my life make me happy, and what things I should find a way to adjust. It's a slow process, but I found Russell's experiences relatable and encouraging.
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in being happier, living a simpler life, Danish culture, moving abroad, or understanding the "socialist" systems of the world.
