This was certainly better than book 1 but the world-building was still shit and though it was another instalovey book and was very similar to book 1, the love story was stellar and I appreciated the genuine conflict between Rhage and Mary.

I’m not very sure what the Lessers are doing but they seem to be doing a lot of stuff that isn’t being explained and I’m going to need the build-up to stop. So far, they are the sole antagonists and tbh, I don’t find them scary enough.
I was not a fan of how Butch and Marissa’s subplot was laid on heavy in the beginning and then suddenly cut off completely and I also hated how Bella’s subplot was abruptly ended.
