Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
he bookgramers were right. Crown of Midnight was exponentially better than Throne of Glass. I mean Celaena in this book was a straight SAVAGE. Play with fire and you will get burned (and by burned I mean sliced with a sword). You will feel every emotion she feels as you’re reading. When she’s pissed you’re going to be pissed, when she cries you’re going to cry. When she’s smitten, you are too. The ending is a banger and now I’m tempted to buy the whole damn set.
Celaena is filling her role as the King’s personal assassin, killing as he commands. Or so everyone thinks….she knows the King is Evil, as do others. There’s word a revolt is forming. She’s trying to make discoveries of what lies under the castle while maintaining her relationships with Chaol and Nehemia- even if they all have their secrets. But when secrets lead to catastrophic event, we see a side of Celaena that is absolutely ruthless.
