Fingers in the Sparkle Jar: A Memoir by Chris Packham
5.0
Mesmerising, verbose, intense and vivid.
An extraordinary read, Packham opens a door and through his florid writings we can relate to the intensity with which he felt/feels the world around him. The detail of the natural world and how he engages with it is a joy, a visceral, emotional joy.
I shed more tears at the acknowledgments he makes at the end than I did when he feels devastating loss.
What a journey.
