this was tense for me to read, not really tense overall lol, she was trying to pass as a pet so she wouldn’t be

raped or killed, it kind of worked for a bit (she had 5 years to work on it and learn the language but her person that knew and took care of her was murdered in front of her.

it was not horrible, he did treat her as a person and felt horrible once he knew but this kind of book is not for me.
