It's an apt description to say this tale is an amalgamation of the essential elements of Ender's Game and The Hunger Games, that Darrow shares similar qualities of Ender Wiggin and Katniss Everdeen. It seemed to start fairly slow for me, and then continued to build momentum. An exciting story that leaves you thirsty for the next book in the series!
