Initially when I started reading this I was like, hmm is this a young adult story? Well hot damn I was wrong bc this may be the spiciest high school aged book I’ve read. This had all kinds of trope goodness: adorbs meet cute, short phase of enemies to lovers, fraternizing with the enemy, ex boyfriend drama. I ate it all up!
Peyton’s dad is a retired NFL football player and the coach of her high school’s football team. Her ex boyfriend, Bryce, is the star player, her dad’s top bf pick, and looking to get back together with her since he got back from camp. When she meets Wyatt at the diner she works at, she feels an instant connection. Only problem is- he’s the new quarterback for her school’s biggest rival team. In her small town of Arizona, high school football is life. She knows Wyatt is totally off limits, but obviously that adds to his appeal
