The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick's Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption by Jim Gorant
5.0
The best revenge is success. Sometimes good can come from a horrible atrocity. The public nature of this case can lead to awareness of the true nature of pit bulls. They are affectionate, loyal, intelligent dogs. This book was a surprisingly heartwarming tear-jerker. As someone who rescued a fighting dog I know how gentle this breed can really be and that they deserve a second chance. They have a great capacity to heal and love. I am thankful that this author wrote such a poignant story that speaks to the ability of all dogs to live in the now and move on. I’m hoping that it leads to the rescue of more dogs and dispels the myth that pit bulls are evil. Punish the deed, not the breed!
