My only guess is that most of the people who rated this American Classic are young readers who never read old novels, because this is one of my favorite classics of all time. Dickens certainly does not deserve 3 stars! His plot is truly genius, every little detail in the beginning circles back in the end to solve the mystery unfolding throughout the book. This book is a mystery, a comedy, and a classic!
