I. LOVED. THIS. BOOK! Okay, that's not the full review, but I stand by it.

I have loved and followed this author since the Dublin Street books (arguably one of the best series I've ever read) and gobbled up this series as well. I absolutely adore revisiting couples that we have read about in past books, and this book revisited so many of my favorite couples. Most notably, Walker and Sloane from Beyond the Thistles. I mean, Walker. Need I say more? This book is about Sloane's daughter Callie and it is perfection.

Callie and Lewis were inseperable as children and teenagers. They had a deep connection that eventually translated to teen romance. However, as teen romances sometimes do, after graduation they went their seperate ways. It was painful and messy and drove a wedge between them for the first time.

Now, 7 years later, the two meet up at a party Eilidh, Lewis's sister, is throwing in London. The chemistry is still there, as is the very hurt feelings. After a long evening and talking and adult activities, Callie sneaks out and returns home to Ardnoch. Lewis makes the decision to follow her as he is determined to win her back.

The beginning of the story is told in a series of flashbacks, which really helped bring us up to speed while maintaining the flow of the story. This book is going on my "read over and over" list.
