Absolutely beautiful but holy cow could have used a trigger warning (I listened to the audio book so to be fair there may be one in the physical book).
The theme of this book is centered around how women through centuries, social class, etc are all connected through the abuse we face from men/ the patriarchy and while I would by no means say the violence was gratuitous (it’s actually don’t incredibly well honestly) it is written in such a way that makes you feel it very intimately. Some scenes truly were hard to listen to.
But besides that I cannot recommend this book enough it truly was beautiful and I finished it in 24 hours after months of being in a massive reading slump.
