I really liked this novella. Personally, I think this is a good first read before the duology. It re-explains everything we already know about the witches, which is a little annoying as I'm reading this after having finished the series, but on its own, it's thorough enough that reading it first doesn't really ruin the series, just fills in what exactly happened in NY. It made me hate V a little more than I originally did, but I still have a lot of respect for how she developed over time, especially when Hannah needs her in TCWB.

A must read if you enjoy the series! I still would love more time with these characters, and for this to be in print so I can add it to my physical collection!
