Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
5.0
“I am one of billions. I am stardust gathered fleetingly into form. I will be ungathered. The stardust will go on to be other things someday and I will be free.”
This is a true example of how a sequel can be magnificent and better than the first, while not over doing it or be contradicting or any other victimising that second books fall prey to.
Taylor is a gifted story teller - a beautiful one - and I am forever grateful to my Aunty Jacqui who bought me this series over the span of three Christmases many years ago.
I now go on to Dreams of Gods and Monsters, which if I recall, I read this time in 2013 (I actually finished the last chapter 4 minutes before 2014 rolled over). Let’s do it again, shall we?
