The Love Interest by Kayley Loring
5.0
4.7 stars.
This was so sweet and so romantic.
I had an absolute blast reading it.
Of course, like with every other book from this author, there was plenty of humor and jokes and banter to make everything just that much more fun.
I love that most if not all of her books have a mixed media type feel. One of the others I read had journal entries.
This one had not only each MCs manuscript pages, but also the MC of each of their books had a bit of commentary at the end of each of their respective manuscripts. And. There were letters that Emmett and Fiona wrote to each other.
I loved it. I think it was super cute and fun. It gave the book a little taste of two other completely different genres we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. Such a cool idea.
The sex was hot, if a bit brief. Though tension and foreplay made up for a lot of that.
The plot was simple, and a new take on something everyone’s seen before, but still completely fun and engrossing. I mean I was so into it I couldn’t put it down before finishing it. Had to stay up past my bedtime to read Goliath’s epilogue.
Worth it.
I loved it. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
