Angelina needed to run away from being forced to be married with someone she despised just to get kidnapped by Sergei, guy everyone was afraid of. She didn't have a place to go but that didn't mean she wanted to stay as kidnapped. Her father might be part of the life but that didn't stop Angelina from being a book nerd and local weirdo. I liked that while she was a "nice girl" she also knew how to shoot.

Sergei had episodes where he was all there physically but mentally went to somewhere else. These episodes made him very violent but his little fox, Lisichka made his demons sleep. I loved that Sergei was this badass character that pretty much everyone was afraid of especially during his episodes but he was so sweet to Angelina since the beginning and how confused she was when everyone made his episodes such a big deal while she calmed him down so easily. In a way they saved each other.

All in all I liked this book a lot and bad boy and good girl is one of the tropes I adore. Adding touch her and you will die made it even better. Sergei never wanted her to be afraid of him and she just wanted to keep him safe. I kind of wish she believed his ability to keep himself safe but I also found it so sweet since no one really has put him first before.
