The Midnight Club by Christopher Pike
3.0
I watched the Netflix series not realizing it was a book and LOVED IT. Super bummed they didn’t renew it for another season.
So of course, being a librarian, I got the book next. Wow what a difference. The book isn’t scary at all. It’s just very sad and full of a lot of deep thoughts about life, death and reincarnation. I have to admit I didn’t understand a lot of parts about The Master and I did wonder more than once if this was really a work of Christian fiction.
I gave it three stars because while I finished it in a day, I’m just not sure if I really liked it. The epilogue especially was kind of weird and left me rolling my eyes on the last page. I’ll have to sit with my feelings on this one for a bit.
