Consider this a Sarah Dessen appreciation post! I grew up navigating the world of teenager thanks in part to Dessens books. The Truth About Forever to this day is one of my all-time favorite books. When I saw she came out with a new read, I knew I had to get my hands on it! She is the queen of summer reads in my opinion.

The Rest of the Story is the perfect summer love story. The book centers around Emma Saylor and her summer at North Lake, a place she had only heard about in stories. Her mother passed away when she was young but her legacy lives on at the lake. As Emma finds out new things about her family, she finds out more about herself. Add in a love interest that is the key to her story and there you have it
