Let’s be honest, 5 stars are not enough stars for Shoot Your Shot.
⭐️ Rating: 5/5
🌶️ Spice: 3.5/5
🏒 Marriage in Peril
🏒 Second Change
🏒 Hockey Romance
🏒 Forced Proximity
Paige and Kolt are such vibrant characters. This story did such a good job of delivering information. That sounds boring, but I promise, it was anything but. These characters found each other in high school, got married young, and kinda fell apart 10 years later. We got just enough background information(from both sides) without it feeling tedious, or like an overshare. We got to understand why Kolt threw up walls and what the breaking point was for Paige.
While these characters found their way back to one another, the story didn’t wrap up in a tidy bow. And I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that. So many times I’ll read a book and it’s like at 90% everything is magically better. Don’t get me wrong, I did feel like this story came to a natural conclusion. Our main characters felt at ease with their decisions and path forward.
This might be some of Hannah Gray’s best spice work yet. Paige and Kolt had some serious chemistry. 🔥🔥
Hannah Gray is a fantastic writer. Her series are so wonderfully thought out. These friend groups/teammates are something special. Truly the definition of found family. Hannah will forever be one of my must read authors.
TW: Infertility.
