I am a sucker for a hockey romance, so I read Faceoff by Mari Loyal. Faceoff is an enemies-to-lovers mixed with a sweet, closed-door romance. Luz is the captain of the women's team, and Max is the captain of the men's hockey team for St. Cloud College. I was interested and invested right away from chapter one. Overall, I would recommend this book. I appreciated the chemistry between Luz and Max and how their romance developed throughout the book.
