I have had this little novella on order from my library since finishing A Psalm for the Wild-Built in October last year and finally my reserve came in. This was one of my most anticipated sequels ever and it really didn't let my expectations down.
We are back with Sibling Dex and Mosscap and being reunited with this pair felt like a warm hug. I love the sense of adventure we had in book one, but coming home in book two was just as sweet.
I don't think I've ever been so consistently emotional throughout a book before, I teared up so much at the beautiful writing and messaging which will stay with me for a very long time.
This book is no less than a 5 star and the duology itself is an all-time favourite that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. I'm so glad this was my first book of 2025 and here's to the rest of my reading year being so successful.
