"Your dreams are your spirit, your soul and without them your are dead. You must guard your dreams always. Always."
__________
I was pretty certain I would like this story. I had heard so much about it, and this year was the year I got to read it! And it really was NOT what I expected, but I still loved every second of it!
For those that know me, know I have a soft spot for any Mythology, Legend or folklore stories. And Krampus has always been one that interested me. So, when I knew there was a book out by BROM, about Krampus, I had to jump on the hype train, I had no other choice!
I loved mostly everyone in the books (at least when it comes to the likable characters, because I don't think anyone would ever like Dillard...) but Jesse really got a special place in my heart... The way bad luck just clings to him and finds him everywhere, resonates with me so much! And the more you learn about Krampus and the other Belsnickels, the more you see the good in them and what they want to achieve, and really, all Krampus wants is for the world to celebrate Yule Tide again and the link to Mother Earth. And to be terrible against those that deserve it, but that's beside the point, right? π
All in all, this book was heart breaking, scary, very gory at times, but mostly, a fun and wild ride!
