The author described this as “boys in the hood meets A Xmas carol” and I can’t think of a better summary than that. This was an entire story that spans one minute in time and takes place in an elevator, and is told in prose, which is so reflective of how we think when our world is so small and crumbling. Fantastic one sitting read.
