The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen

5.0

I didn't mean to finish this in one day. But I did. I didn't expect to miss reading this as much as I did after closing it for the last time.

With thousands upon thousands of rave reviews what can I say about The False Prince that hasn't already been said? The cast of colorful, crafty, and cunning characters. The overall plot with its richness and suspense. The flawless flow and writing style. The predictable mistaken identity theme that was done in such a masterful way that I didn't see it coming at all. All of this has been described and discussed in ways I couldn't even begin to.

Don't get me wrong, there were a couple times that something happened, like a knife conveniently winding up in someone's pocket, or a coin magically appearing, that left me scratching my head and wondering, did I skip a page or was I reading too fast that I missed that? Those instances were somewhat bothersome.

As a brand new reader and fan of this series all I can really add to the masses are these two humble points:
1) My friends were right about this book
2) It's not a rock. It's gold. (I cried)
