My son bought me this book for Christmas. His style of book buying is 'let pick an author I don't remember seeing mom read with a cool cover.' It has lead to some new authors and series and some whoppers. 

This one was a good random pick! The story was easy to follow, it was entertaining,  had a good pace, and the characters had some dimension. I enjoyed the love interest romance parts and they were not excessive. 

Here's what I did NOT like! It's not really a series. There is a general idea that holds the books together, but I can't learn more about Raine and Zack's world. It ends with the book. I was devastated to find that out! 

So yes it is a good read. Yes it's a great story. Yes I am happy I read it. But it's a one and done so don't invest your heart into the characters.
