𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫: Jason Arnopp
𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐭: Jack Sparks is an arrogant and deeply annoying writer that has decided his next book will be devoted to the supernatural... Or rather proving that the supernatural does not exist. His lack of respect for anyone other than himself leads him to thinking it would be a good idea to laugh and make fun of an exorcism, while he watches from the sidelines. It was not a good idea.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝: Yes!
𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭: probably? There are many female characters, but it's told almost entirely from Jack's voice and they don't interact much
Read if You Like: Excellent horror books, possession/demon stories, found footage

This is the best book I've read this year and is already one of my all-time favorite horror novels. Jack Sparks is an arrogant prick throughout, but he sure gets what's coming to him, and then some (and then some more after that). This book was trippy and wild and absolutely terrifying, and immediately after finishing I wanted to do a re-read (which I hardly ever do) to see what I missed the first time around. One hundred gold stars.
