The Fall of Roe by Elizabeth Dias, Lisa Lerer
informative
medium-paced
5.0
In the interview with the authors at the end of the audiobook, Dias and Lerer mention that they wanted this to be an unbiased and factual look at the fall of Roe, and considering how polemic a subject this is, I felt that they did a great job of doing just that. This book covers more than a decade of what went into making the Dobbs decision a reality. I appreciated the mix of the personal and the factual. The jumps from one time to another also highlighted the mistakes that democrats made in comparison to the systematic planning of the antiabortion proponents. For anyone looking for a comprehensive look at how Roe was brought down, I would highly recommend this book.
