Dare to Touch by Carly Phillips

With it being the run up to Christmas my brain doesn't have the bandwidth to deal with more complex stories right now but the neurospicy in me needs the distraction of something whilst I prep and wrap and do all the things ready for Christmas day. This series being available in the Audible Plus catalogue right now gives me what I need it to, something to have on in the background whilst I accomplish tasks. Is this the best story ever written? No. Are the characters deep and their connections complex and meaningful? Also, no. But is it entertaining enough to do what I need it to at this moment? Yep.

I find the use of the word affair in this odd. To me that word correlates with people already in a relationship being with someone who isn't their partner, not two single people having a friends with benefits situation or entering into a potential relationship, so everytime the FMC referred to her situationship with the MMC as an affair it threw me off. Olivia was a tad insufferable tbh, I get she has daddy issues (and rightly so, that guy is awful) and I know from personal experience what losing a pregnancy is like, however her take on the whole thing and attitude towards relationships etc because of it all became tedious after a while. Like, babe... get some therapy or something. Dylan the MMC carried this romance on his back, he was all in and did all he could to show Olivia he was choosing her and she refused to meet him halfway till the very end, therefore everything was left feeling rushed between them for me. Other than that, it was the same formula as the previous two books. Onto book 4. 🌶🌶
