I could definitely tell this was Alexis Hall's work. The banter was so distinct and had that hilarious quality to it that made the reading experience really enjoyable. I loved the baking competition and how it mirrored the Great British Bake-Off. I thought the challenges were really unique and helped to indicate the characters and their personalities. I loved the aspects of friendship and I really liked seeing them build throughout the book. I wish Rosaline had been a bit more confident, I was happy at times when she stood up for herself, but I think her "thing" with Alain went on for far too long and it took away from her character and what she was trying to do for Amelie. I enjoyed reading this one, but definitely think some things weren't necessary.
