The Human Instinct: How We Evolved to Have Reason, Consciousness, and Free Will by Kenneth R. Miller

4.0

a meditative study on consciousness and what it might mean for the human race, kenneth r. miller delivers a very informative — yet also very compulsively readable — tract that succeeds in both educating the populace while also being a very well-written and highly engaging book overall.

plus, it features snarky potshots at evopsych. who wouldn't welcome that in a book?
