The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Malcolm X

5.0

First 5-Star of the year.
This account of Brother Malcolm seems to me, very personally, the embodiment of all i have felt and suspected throughout my adult life. (I was much too ignorant in my younger life to even fully digest the Souls of Black Folks.)

I know I will read this book over and over for the rest of my life, and each time I will take more and more notes. This autobiography of one of our greatest late leaders is a page turner, and (against Brother Malcolms request) simply cannot be read objectively. It will hit you in the heart. It will hit you in the parts of the brain that love to learn. It will hit you in your belief systems!

You will find your similarities and your differences with the Brother Minister, and that will be exciting. Why, before he died he affirmed that he would love to have had more time to study because he wished to become a linguist-which is significant for me because thats a heartfelt goal of mine as well.

You will get some of what you expect, but mostly you will get what you do not. I hope you enjoy the ride, but most of all-digest it, and meditate on it.
