Another delightful Vorkosigan book. Doesn't have the rip-roaring pace of, say, the Vor Game, but wow, Bujold is a good writer. The parts written from Ekaterin's point of view are especially strong, as she reveals beautifully how she got into and stayed in an unhappy marriage. The mystery that is the McGuffin is resolved very satisfactorily, but the real point of the book is a woman coming into her own. A joy.
