Pleasantville by Attica Locke
4.0
Set in the late 1990's but written in 2016, Pleasantville is an appropriate novel for today's time. It is an exploration into the inner workings of politics and political manipulation. At the center is the murder of a young girl, but what is uncovered is a plot to sway elections that has national implications. Well developed prose that makes you feel (good or bad) for each and every character.
