Waypoints: My Scottish Journey by Sam Heughan

funny hopeful inspiring medium-paced

5.0

I adore Sam Heughan and after reading his book with Graham McTavish, I knew I would want to pick up this one. I actually liked this one a lot more. Listening to the audiobook was so much fun and I truly felt like I was with Sam on his journey. He was an absolute delight of a narrator and I thought his stories were interesting and inspiring. I loved the way this was broken up. It was a mix of the waypoints stories as well as anecdotes and Sam's journey as an a actor. I think this book showed a lot about his character and he seems like he would be truly lovely to chat with in real life. I found myself laughing out loud at points while also being so moved by his life. This is probably one of my favorite new memoirs I've read and listening to Sam talk was honestly so comforting.
