heartbreaking but beautiful and as spellbindingly magical as many of the others of this series.

i loved antsy and how her story unfolded and how this book gave a bit more information about the doors and showing just a little glimpse of just how many worlds there could be.

i loved the pacing and how this book was build from start to finish.

was it heartbreaking and hard to read in some moments dealing with abused kids? yes absolutely. but as the rest of this series this book handled it well -said as someone thankfully not physically or sexually abused as a kid (which how sad is it that it’s something we all that grew up without it should be thankful for that? every kid should grow up without the fear of abuse!)
so i am not sure how it reads to someone that survived through something similar.
but to me it was well done.

i really enjoyed this and it’s one of my favorites, so much so that i am sure with reread this could take the spot as my favorite in the series.

highly recommend this -even as a starting point even if you will want to go back to catch the little mentions in the book.
