Patron Saints of Nothing by Randy Ribay
4.0
I’m writing this review just after finishing the book and I’m still high on the emotions so I’m not sure I’m being fair on my rating right now but to start it off, this was a good read. Admittedly, there were some parts where I agreed and disagreed with Jay’s remarks, but it is what it is. The writing is very straightforward but the emotions were there and I greatly appreciate the fact that I got to see everyone’s humanity, even Tito Maning’s, and even got to put myself in Jay’s shoes as we both try and uncover the truth of what really happened to Jun. I will hold this story close to my heart forever. This is definitely a must read for me. As fictional as this book is, the truth is always out there, and I am thankful that this book has given meaning into my life as a person.
