I’m thoroughly enjoying reading the Sparrows Falls series. This is Rhodes’ story, and we learn about how she lost her entire family in a devastating house fire. Rhodes barely managed to escape alive. The Colson family, who are foster parents, took her in.

Anson, a former FBI profiler who quit after the death of his sister, now works with Shep in his construction company. Anson had shut down all his emotions and was struggling to cope with his feelings for Rhodes. Rhodes, with her captivating personality, had a way of drawing people to her. I found it intriguing to watch her gradually wear Anson down, and their chemistry was undeniable.

Things were going well until Rhodes and Anson received shocking news that kept me glued to the story until the very end. It was another fantastic read.
