This was such a good sequel! It truly allowed the world and magic system to shine which I felt was the strongest part of the first book. It really helped that this one moved through multiple characters’ perspectives which kept the pace quick and had me on the edge of my seat. 

I was a bit meh about it focusing on Ione so much at first, but her story became so compelling. There were so many twists and turns that truly got me. 

Overall, this is a fun duology and I get the hype!
