This book reminded me of all the stories I used to read until I started liking more details and infos in my fantasy reads.

It's very juvenile and an easy read. There are however questions that were left unanswered.

How did they King obtain the crown? By trapping the Lady of the Wilds in the crown? Is Cerys' mom the daughter of the Guardmaster?

I did enjoy it. 12-year-old me would have immensely enjoyed it. I liked how it started but I thought the ending was anticlimactic. The adventure the MCs went through was like a Disney movie - the resolution to the problem was a bit meh.

3.5 stars for being an easy read.
